The Randomness of "Gummo"

Posted on 16:36 by Unknown

"You fuckin' pervert! Why are you tryin' to touch her coochie?!" - Dot

Okay, I'm sure I am not the first to admit that I found it strange seeing Chloe as an albino named Dot, who puts tape on her nipples and jumps around on a bed to Buddy Holly's "Everyday".

After seeing Gummo, you feel happy that you don't live in this kind of enviorment. Some call it art, some call it shit. It's not a bad film, but its images are so real that you feel awkward/disturbed watching it. It really does have it's humane and touching moments where it stops and looks at the world, and how some can find happiness and beauty in the smallest places. Will I see it again? Maybe. But for those who haven't seen this very arty film, I warn you that this isn't a pleasant watch. As close to realism as you can get. But if you have seen it, tell me what you thought.
